Keep Your Topic Fresh!

It is critical that you keep your presentation topic fresh with new ideas and perspectives.  And here are two aids to help you do this. Both are humorous, inspiring books.

The first is  by SARK the author of such books as  Succulent Wild Woman, The Bodacious Book of Succulence, Eat Magoes Naked, and Prospertiy Pie.

I honestly haven't read any of them but this called Make Your Creative Dreams Real is enticing. I'll let you know from time to time what I find in it.

According to some of the comments she has received it look promising.  Cheryl Richardson, author of  Stand Up for  Your Life has said: "Everything you need to know about making your creative dreams real is contained in SARK's new book.".

And Julia Cameron, author of  The Artist's Way  wrote: "SARK's gentle and effervescent work is a festive, creative catalyst that throws open a wide and generous gate."

The other book Jump Start Your Brain was written by Doug Hall a retired Master Marketing Inventor is a true cornocopia of ways to create a fresh perspective for your talk  or whatever else you are working on and is getting a bit dated.

He earned some good reviews  on his book too such as this comment from The Wall Street Journal:  "Former Proctor & Gamble marketing whiz Doug Hall goes to any length to encouragte a fresh perspective...CLIENT'S SAY IT WORKS."

And Ellen Guidera, Vice President, Disney Consumer Products adds:  "When Doug meets Disney, creativity ne'er wanes; our team explodes when he jump starts our brains!"

Some of the advice you'll find in this book includes: "Let's be honest. Most newborn seed ideas are ugly, wrinkly little wretches. If the newborn is our own you're liable to think it's a thing of wonder and beauty. But it's going to need a whole lotta nurturing before anyone else will think so."

It is filled with  Hall's own ideas in creativity as well as that of other such as this quote from Richard Saunders: Life is a bowl of cherries. It's full of pits. Whether you control your life or it controls you depends in large measure on your ability to spit out the pits."

Both look like valuable  additions to my library.  SARK's book was published by the Fireside Books  division of Simon and Shuster New York and  Hall's by Warner Books Inc.  if you're interested  in finding out where you can buy either one.

Of course  one the best tools to make  and keep yourself innovative and something that can be used with all of the ideas mentioned in these two books is Mind Mapping.  Click of  www.thinkbuzan.com for information and training opportunities.
